Swashbuckler

Mastermind.jpg

Swashbucklers focus their expertise on the art of swordplay. These rakish duelists wield silver-tongues and sharp blades, being charismatic rogues who fancy conversation and the flourish of combat over other displays of skill. Like all Rogues, Swashbucklers are adept at fighting dirty and in the use of their trained skills. However, swashbucklers favor superior finesse and footwork much more so than other rogues. A Swashbuckler locked in combat almost looks like a showman performing choreographed swordplay.

Swashbucklers in Alleticia

Swashbucklers are often leaders or ex-members of the Olde Thieves Guild. Those who are not from the guild usually pick up their skills from a Sword-Master, Pirate Lord or Master-Thief. This tutelage is how a swashbuckler becomes so adept at swordplay. Swashbucklers often spend their lives as wandering hero-rogues, or on-the-run criminals with a taste for the finer things in life, some swashbucklers sometimes even tour as performers, or con-men. The Old Thieves Guild requires ex-members to maintain the Code of Thieves, but often turn a blind eye towards swashbucklers, who they know will never cower to an organized institution.
